Director, Day Services

Position Summary

South Bay Community Services is looking for a Day Services Program Director to join the team! The Director is responsible for professional clinical services for all clients admitted to Day Programs. This exciting leadership opportunity involves staff development, including the hiring, supervision and training of masters and bachelors level staff, facilitating psychotherapy groups and conduct individual psychotherapy sessions for clients in the Partial Hospital Program, as needed, networking with other providers in the community and participation on the Division Management team. The program is dedicated to improving the lives of people who suffer from psychiatric illness or substance abuse disorders, through both short and long term treatment.


Education & Licensing Requirements

* Master's degree and Independently licensed in the state of Massachusetts as an LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, or LADC1


Duties & Responsibilities

Interview, hire, train and supervise Case Managers, Treatment Coordinators, Admissions Coordinator and Group Facilitators 

Facilitate psychotherapy groups and conduct individual psychotherapy sessions for clients in PHP, as needed 

Train and monitor all clinical staff in order to ensure that client progress is documented in a professional manner on the appropriate forms 

Work with staff to assess client needs, monitor client services to maintain effective, challenging and interesting programming and develop effective curriculum

Consult with the Director, Day Services and/or Assistant Director, Day Services in program development and serve as a clinical liaison to collateral provider agencies 

Assist with Utilization Review and Multidisciplinary Committee, as assigned by division

Participate in staff meetings, supervision, management team meetings, and in service trainings as required



Experience & Skills

* 2 years experience and 1 year of supervisory experience
