Spanish Speaking School-Based Clinician - Chelsea, Massachusetts

Position Summary

The Spanish Speaking Elementary School Based Clinician supports 1 elementary school in Chelsea, MA. In this role, the clinician will be providing outpatient therapy to students and their families in the school setting on a full-time basis. Intake and family sessions may be conducted in the school, home, or clinic setting.

Education & Licensing Requirements

* A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, Or a Masters degree with a concentration in one of the areas of Counseling such as: Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Mental Health, Counseling, or Rehabilitation Counseling required.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Provide on-site school based counseling for children and adolescents * Provide consultations to parents, guardians and school personnel * Provide crisis and case management * Familiar with "Best Practices" treatment modalities. * Contribute to the overall success of a multi-disciplinary team of service providers

Experience & Skills

* Minimum of 3 years experience working with children and families required * Able to use computer based information system and electronic medical record * Awareness of legal and ethical issues related to clinical work and case management * Proven ability to effectively engage clients, successfully advocate for clients and to work well with professionals * Strong communication and interpersonal skills Valid driver's license and vehicle for transportation required
