Registered Nurse (RN) -Community Mental Health
Northstar Psychological Services is dedicated to the superior treatment of individuals and families within the Metro-Atlanta Community. We have been providing counseling services to children, adolescents and adults for over 15 years. We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Administrative team!

The RN is responsible for providing and coordinating assessments, intervention and planning of mental health needs for individuals and families in the clinical and community setting. Consult with other practitioners e.g. therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, medical doctor, school counselor, and others to ensure a well round clinically focused; evidence-based approach is being used and modeled.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
§ Elicit data regarding past and present health of the individual
§ Conduct system reviews, recognizing normal physiological conditions, normal variants, detection, and description of abnormal findings.
§ Identify gaps in health knowledge
§ Identify risk factors particular to the individual as a result of relationship to age, sex, and ethnicity
§ Identify developmental status and describe deviations
§ Determine predominant health practices, develop, implement, and follow-up with a plan of care to address those deficient areas identified
§ Formulate nursing diagnoses plan of care, and follow-up for families
§ Develop a plan of care to meet identified behavioral health problems
§ Collaborate with other health professionals as appropriate in developing the care plan
§ Seek consultation in complex multifaceted problems
§ Maintain and complete records of health status and care provided
§ Impart health care information relevant to the families
§ Counsel on health practices and their impact on health status
§ Travel to offsite clinics to support psychiatric care
§ Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors of Science in Nursing from a four year college or university and 2-4 years of related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Georgia license.
