Family Behavioral Resources – Behavior Therapist - Youngwood, PA - Westmoreland Community College Preschool


At Family Behavioral Resources Mission; we work in local schools, homes, and communities servicing children with diagnosed behavioral and mental health disorders.  We also provide Outpatient Mental Health Therapy in numerous locations throughout the state of PA and in Ohio. Our mission is to empower people to improve their lives by providing the highest quality behavioral health care.


Position details:  Part-time; 10:00am to 1:00pm - Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Position will begin January 10th and end on May 8th.


This position will work at Westmoreland Community College Preschool in Youngwood, Pennsylvania.


Requirements:  Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education, or similar human services field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. At least 1 year of experience in the field of Applied Behavioral Analysis preferred.


Duties:   The Behavior Therapist position is responsible for providing one-on-one or small group interventions to consumers in the home, school, or community setting when, without treatment, behaviors may require a more restrictive setting. Goals to increase independent feeding and increasing length of time in school to prepare for the transition to kindergarten as well as some social skills.
  • Provides assistance in implementation of the  behavioral intervention plan
  • Provides assistance to parents or other responsible adults
  • Demonstrates understanding in appropriate implementation of evidence-based assessments
  • Demonstrates a strong knowledge of research and evidence-based practices
  • Utilizes relevant data to identify effective treatment intervention
  • Provides treatment of the whole person
  • Supervises response to emergency/crisis situations with team members and consumers
  • Participates in required meetings, evaluations, supervision and training
  • Completes all required clinical documentation
  • Maintains assigned, planned schedule
  • Maintains a commitment to professional development
  • Adheres to professional and ethical interaction policies and procedures
  • Supports on-going and future business needs
