Family Behavioral Resources – Therapeutic Staff Support - Indiana and Armstrong counties

At Family Behavioral Resources Mission; we work in local schools, homes, and communities servicing children with diagnosed behavioral and mental health disorders.  We also provide Outpatient Mental Health Therapy in numerous locations throughout the state of PA and in Ohio. Position details:  Part-time;  10+ hours a week -  Monday through Friday; after school and evening hours

We are hiring for daylight/late afternoon & after school/early evening hours may vary based on assigned consumers.

This position will cover Indiana and Armstrong counties and report to the office located in Indiana, PA.

Therapeutic Staff Support services may be provided in the consumer's home, the school, or the community setting. This position requires travel between consumers - travel compensation is provided.

Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Education, Counseling OR Bachelor’s degree in unrelated degree WITH one year paid experience working with children or adolescents OR Associate’s degree with three years working experience with children or one year previously working  as a Therapeutic Staff Support.

Duties:  The Therapeutic Staff Support position is responsible for providing therapeutic support (TSS) and one-on-one interventions under the supervision of a Master’s level therapist. This position is responsible for working with children and adolescents on acquiring, developing, and increasing social engagement and independent living skills, and increasing interaction in community and home settings. This position works to reduce problem behaviors that impede functioning.

  • ·        Implements interventions in home, school, and various community environments
  • ·        Completes all required clinical documentation
  • ·        Participates in assessment of needs, and objective development, as appropriate
  • ·        Collects data related to progress on consumer objectives
  • ·        Responds to emergency/crisis situations with team members and consumers
  • ·        Maintains assigned, planned schedule
  • ·        Maintains a commitment to professional development
  • ·        Adheres to professional and ethical interaction policies and procedures
  • ·        Supports on-going and future business needs
