Position details:  Part-time; 20-35 hours per week; benefits available -  Monday through Friday; daylight & after school/early evening hours may vary based on assigned consumers


The Behavior Specialist Consultant may be required to travel 100% of the time between appointment sites or other locations – as outline in program requirements.


We offer billable and non-billable rates for services.


Requirements: 

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education, or similar human services field.
  • Professional licensure required (Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Behavior Specialist License)


Duties:  The Behavior Specialist Consultant is responsible for the provision of individual and family therapy sessions for consumers assigned to each caseload. This position also ensures completion of required clinical documentation related to individual caseloads in a timely manner.  The BSC is responsible for providing direct and indirect behavioral intervention and consultation to consumers, family, and other stakeholders.  This position is responsible for guiding treatment by developing a treatment plan, monitoring progress on goals, intervening directly with a consumer, and developing programs, as appropriate.

  • ·        Demonstrates proficiency with assessment skills
  • ·        Developments individualized treatment plans
  • ·        Provision of therapy to consumers in individually recommended setting
  • ·        Provision of treatment of the whole person
  • ·        Evaluates individualized consumer-drive treatment plan reviews
  • ·        Develops transition and discharge planning
  • ·        Completes all required clinical documentation
  • ·        Responds to emergency/crisis situations with team members and consumers
  • ·        Maintains assigned, planned schedule
  • ·        Maintains a commitment to professional development
  • ·        Adheres to professional and ethical interaction policies and procedures
  • ·        Supports on-going and future business needs
  • ·        Leads and directs individualized treatment
  • ·        Provides treatment of the whole person
  • ·        Consults with all members of the treatment team to ensure plan participation
  • ·        Monitors individualized consumer-drive data to address consumer needs
  • ·        Supervises response to emergency/crisis situations with team members and consumers
  • ·        Participates in required meetings, evaluations, supervision and trainings
