Licensed Outpatient Therapist - Part time

Provides outpatient therapy for children and adults and completes new intakes and assessments as assigned. This position is part time, about 16-20 hours per week. 


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESULTS:                                                          


·Facilitates therapeutic groups and outpatient counseling services to identified population.

·Conducts assessments and carries a caseload of  consumers.

·Works with Company personnel and leadership in identifying and correcting deficits with person-centered plans or other required agency documentation.

·Conducts clinical evaluations and assessments in accordance with agency and accreditation standards.

·Maintains accurate and timely records, including clinical assessments, services notes and billing documentation according to agency policy.

·Reviews clinical documentation of assigned staff (if applicable).

·Submits clinical and billing documentation within 48 hours of service delivery.

·Participates in planning and implementing quality improvement activities.

·Maintains up-to-date knowledge of field by participating in continuing education activities.

·Provides positive customer relations in dealing with consumers, families, physicians, fellow department employees, other agency departments, referral resources, service agencies, and others.

·    Adheres to all department/agency and school policies.

 Licensed School Based Outpatient Therapist-NC  (as assigned)

·        Facilitates therapeutic groups and outpatient counseling services to assigned School students and their families according to accepted Memorandum of Agreement with assigned Schools during approximately the 180 days school is in session; also delivers services throughout school breaks to students identified as wanting to receive mental health services during these times. 

·      Uses evidence-based practices with students and their families to reach target billable hours as outline in individual supervision plan.  



Masters degree in human services or related field and active licensure as an LCSW, LPC or LPA in North Carolina preferred; but an associates license may be considered (LPC-A, LCSW-A, LMFT-A)



At least one year of experience in diagnosing and assessing consumers’ mental health status.

Candidates with current credentialing through the local Managed Care Organizations (MCO or medicaid carriers) is required. Current credentialing through Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC  is a plus.                                              .
